Flora, Paul - "Palazzo Vendramin II" (or "Boats in Venice")
THIS WORK OF ART HAS BEEN SOLD
Paul Flora artist
This
is an original printed lithograph of the original etching done by this well
known artist in 1976. It is part of a limited edition, 500 print per work, r
elease of this then aging artist's works. e-Art Now was proud to be able to
purchase pieces by this artist. Paul Flora's work is simply masterful, both
in technique and in expression through "story telling". This is a very
well-known European master-artist with an ever-increasing value as more and
more people and collecting "experts" become aware of such work. Outstanding,
sometimes truly intriguing, sometimes absorbing works, always presented with
technical skills that create the viewer effect without ever being focused on
in any way that interrupts the viewer's experience. Only after involvement
with this artist's works does any viewer realize the technical quality of the
images created, the thoughts and emotions experienced. In 2000 this artist
was ranked in Prints at number 1,728 (using Hammer and ArtPrice data), growing
rapidly in collector interest to a rank of 799 in the year 2005. An unusually
high degree of change. There has been simply greater collector interest and
awareness of this artost's work. Using the same key data resources, Hammer
and ArtPrice (recommended by e-Art Now to all serious collectors) this and
other pieces from this release (Farblithographie) have sold at auction for
$233 on Nov 17, 2005 in Austria and for $257 at the same auction for another
print from the same series. e-Art Now has set its pricing on this most recent
data. The artist has his original inks selling for circa $3,518 in current
data reports. This particular piece is hand signed and numbered (20/500) in
pencil. It is a great investment piece on one hand, while on the other, for
anyone who truly appreciates fine-arts etching as a style, this piece is
simply among the best possible to be found. The artist was born in 1922 in
Glurns/ Suditrol, Austria.
